DAY 1: FES - IFRANE - MIDELT - ZIZ VALLEY – MERZOUGA
After breakfast, we will leave towards the southeast, following the caravan routes to Merzouga. During this 2 days Fes desert tour to Merzouga, you will see glimpses of the Middle Atlas Mountains, and you will stop at the Cedar Forest, the largest in Morocco, over the Middle Atlas Mountains – where you will see Barbary macaques. After lunch in Midelt, you will continue through the large, open, hilly desert, and notice how the landscape changes to reveal hints of desert as you approach the city of Errachidia. Your Fes to Marrakech desert tour 3 days continues along the luxurious Ziz Valley and the palm grove of Tafilalet, famous for its date cultivation. This region is the birthplace of the Alaouite dynasty – the current royal family of Morocco.
Upon your arrival in Merzouga, you will take a camel trek through the golden sand dunes of Erg Chebbi to your luxury camp, half way a camel man will stop for you so that you can enjoy a beautiful sunset in the desert as the sun hides behind the mighty sand dunes. Arrival in Azrou, an important center of crafts (specialized in the work of cedar wood), the city of Ifrane, a station of great charm, Imouzar el kandar and arrival in Fez at the hotel or airport that you have reserved.
